More Radio - page 5

10th April 2009 - here is a selection of photos taken this morning at Ha'penny Pier, Harwich. Pirate BBC Essex aboard the LV18.

A glorious day, & interesting to see the LV18 close up again. The vessel is in reasonably good condition, & looking very colourful...

It was good to hear the station output through 2 large loudspeakers on the lower deck, & there was a fair number of people on the pier who had obviously visited to see this event.

It is not possible to go aboard, but we'd say it is still well worth the visit to see all & feel the atmosphere. The exhibition at the start of the pier is also again open.

That's all folks... Strange to see 'RADIO ROCK' chalked out on one side - didn't get a chance to find out why. The only way to see the 'RADIO SUNSHINE' logo is to take the ferry - this is also a great trip over to Shotley or Felixestowe if you've got all day.
